Merseyside Police have charged three men over the stabbing of three men outside GBar, one of Liverpool's longest-running LGBTQ+ venues, shortly after 6.30am on Sunday, September 20. Patrick Morgan, 31, and Jonny Gee, 18, are each charged with two counts of Section 18 wounding with intent, violent disorder and possession of a bladed article. Stephen Gee, 22, is charged with one count of Section 18 wounding with intent, violent disorder and possession of a Class B drug. All three were due at Wirral Magistrates Court on Wednesday morning.

The bar's license has been suspended and it is closed pending further proceedings, Scene and PinkNews report. Police have said there is no suggestion so far of a hate crime element. One of the men who was stabbed remained in hospital in a stable condition, according to Scene.

Because the case is now before a court, that is all we are going to say about it, and it is all anyone should. We will follow it.
