Peach Basil Bliss
This drink is a sunny day no matter where you are, IDGAF what you say. With the perfect balance of bubbles, sweetness and sourness, it’s an explosion for your mouth (the good kind, we swear…)
Wait, is there a bad kind of explosion for your mouth? Never mind, I think you know what we mean. Try it out, substitute with healthier stuff, whatever floats your boat. We just want you to get a little bit tipsy and stay in the pool so long you start to prune up, is that a crime?
WHAT’S KICKING BASIL?
Ingredients:
2 oz Peach Gay Water
1 oz Gin (or vodka for a smoother taste)
1 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
1 oz Honey Syrup (mix equal parts honey and warm water)
Fresh Basil Leaves (about 4-5)
Splash of Sparkling Wine (optional, for a bubbly finish)
Ice
Basil sprig and peach slice (for garnish)
Instructions:
Muddle the Basil: In a cocktail shaker, add fresh basil leaves and honey syrup. Gently muddle to release the basil’s flavor.
Add Ingredients: Add the Peach Gay Water, gin (or vodka), and fresh lemon juice to the shaker.
Shake It Up: Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds to chill and combine.
Strain: Strain the mixture into a chilled glass filled with ice.
Top Off: If desired, top off with a splash of sparkling wine for some effervescence.
Garnish: Garnish with a sprig of basil and a slice of fresh peach.
